50:50 Stalemate | The CLARITY Act Hits a Roadblock and Fails to Pass

BlockBeats news, September 16 — The Senate vote on the CLARITY Act has now concluded, ultimately landing at 50:50 (at least 60 votes in favor were required for passage), and it failed to pass.

This vote result only means that the CLARITY Act temporarily cannot enter the Senate's formal deliberation process. It does not mean the bill is permanently dead, nor does it represent a final rejection of the bill. It means the Senate cannot end the procedural debate on "whether to enter deliberation," and the bill temporarily cannot proceed to subsequent amendment discussions.
