ChatGPT now sells gift cards: Plus and Pro can both be topped up, but only in the US.

Beating AI News Flash: OpenAI has launched official ChatGPT gift cards in the United States. It is essentially a USD stored-value card, currently sold in digital form through select authorized retailers. After redemption, the money goes directly into the ChatGPT account balance. Gift cards are typically available for purchase in amounts ranging from $15 to $250.

This money can be used on the ChatGPT web platform to purchase, upgrade, or renew Go, Plus, and Pro subscriptions, as well as to buy additional credits. It cannot be used to top up OpenAI API, nor can it pay for bills subscribed through the App Store or Google Play.

The restrictions are also strict. Gift cards can currently only be purchased and redeemed in the United States. At the time of redemption, the user must be physically in the United States, and the account must also be settled in USD.
