BlockBeats news, September 14: Both U.S. and Brent crude oil rose more than 3% today, currently quoted at $99.189 per barrel and $104.36 per barrel, respectively. Reuters reported that over the weekend, the daily vessel transit volume through the Strait of Hormuz was only in the single digits for two consecutive days, below the 10-day daily average of 14 ships.
According to ship tracking information on the 14th, over the two days of last weekend, 4 vessels exited the Strait of Hormuz, including vessels carrying energy; 10 cargo ships entered the Strait of Hormuz. However, the above figures do not include vessels that turned off their automatic identification systems while passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
Previously, U.S. President Trump stated that Ukraine has agreed to stop attacking Russian energy facilities, and Russia has also agreed to take the same measures. If the relevant arrangements are implemented, attacks by both Russia and Ukraine on energy infrastructure may ease. Trump also stated that the recent rise in global diesel prices was mainly caused by the Russia-Ukraine war, rather than the situation in Iran.
