Trump-linked Rum Group shares surge over 17% on report of $13.7 billion computing power deal with Anthropic

BlockBeats news, September 14th, according to BIT (Bit.com) market data, the stock price of Trump-linked company Rum Group surged over 17%.

On the news front, Anthropic signed a 6-year, $13.7 billion computing power contract with Rum Group, leasing its data center currently under construction in Georgia. Rum Group is the former parent company of Rumble, whose video platform has long been popular among American conservatives, and Truth Social also runs on Rumble Cloud. Rumble's early investors also include Peter Thiel and Narya Capital, co-founded by J.D. Vance.

Rum Group, formerly the conservative video platform Rumble, had early investors including Peter Thiel and current U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance (J.D. Vance), and the platform also hosts Trump's Truth Social and official White House livestreams. This deal makes Anthropic's ties to Trump's political circle more direct, leading the company to often be referred to as a "Trump-linked" company.
