Weekly Macro Outlook: Fed Rate Decision Looms, CLARITY Act Faces Key Vote, BOJ and BOE Take the Stage

Thursday:

The Federal Reserve FOMC announces its interest rate decision (2 AM Beijing time Thursday) and summary of economic projections, and the Fed Chair holds a monetary policy press conference;

U.S. initial jobless claims for the week ending September 12;

The Bank of England announces its interest rate decision and meeting minutes;

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) holds a roundtable meeting to discuss 24-hour trading;


Friday:

The Bank of Japan announces its interest rate decision, and Bank of Japan Governor Ueda Kazuo holds a monetary policy press conference.
