Trump: To distribute a $5,000 dividend to every American adult if Republicans win both the House and Senate in the midterm elections.

BlockBeats news, September 10: In a speech on the first night of the Republican National Convention, Trump said: If the Republican Party wins the House and the Senate, I will issue a $5,000 dividend to every American adult.

During the speech, Trump also said, insisting that he won the 2020 election, although allegations regarding voting machine fraud, illegal mail-in ballots, and manipulation of vote counting in swing states have all been dismissed. After renaming Lake Ontario to "Lake America," Trump then proposed his latest renaming idea. He proposed renaming New Mexico to the state of "New America," prompting cheers from the audience. When mentioning the shipping route through the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said: "I think we should call the Strait of Hormuz 'Trump Strait.' I should get something out of it."

NBC News' chief White House correspondent said that Trump's 50-minute speech contained nothing new. Trump is putting on a "classic show familiar to MAGA fans," joking around while throwing out the lines his supporters most love to hear. It was basically all things Trump had already said in other campaign rallies or speeches.
