BlockBeats News, September 9 - Tether and Fasanara Capital have announced the launch of Evergreen private credit vehicle StableFund. The two parties will jointly contribute $400 million as initial capital and plan to attract up to $3 billion in third-party institutional capital to expand real-economy lending backed by stablecoins.
Fasanara will serve as investment manager, deploying funds into short-term, asset-backed credit strategies through its global fintech lending network. Tether will act as co-sponsor, loan origination partner, and advisor, responsible for identifying USDT-related financing opportunities and providing stablecoin settlement, on/off-ramp, and treasury management infrastructure.
The fund plans to embed USDT across fintech platforms covering more than 60 countries, providing financing to SMEs and consumers. Tether stated that the structure is designed to enhance the efficiency of cross-border credit capital flows; the current global SME financing gap is estimated at $5.7 trillion.
