U.S. stock premarket: semiconductor, memory, and optical communication sectors broadly rose, with NOK up nearly 5%.

BlockBeats News, September 9 - According to BIT (bit.com) market data, U.S. stocks saw modest gains in the semiconductor, memory, and optical communications sectors during Wednesday's pre-market trading.


Semiconductor stocks rose broadly, with Lam Research (LRCX) up 0.91%, Applied Materials (AMAT) up 0.41%, and Arm (ARM) up 1.12%.


The memory sector also moved higher, with SK Hynix (SKHY) up 1.63%, Micron Technology (MU) up 0.84%, Western Digital (WDC) up 0.38%, SanDisk (SNDK) up 1.19%, and Seagate Technology (STX) up 0.39%.


Optical communications concept stocks led the gains, with Astera Labs (ALAB) up 1.31%, Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) up 0.98%, Coherent (COHR) up 0.79%, Credo (CRDO) up 0.95%, Lumentum (LITE) up 0.5%, and Nokia (NOK) up 4.79%.
