Paul Erlanger, co-founder of fomo, said during his appearance on the podcast Maurits Markets that fomo recognized from the very beginning that trading would inevitably become social. He believes that social features are not about "building an on-chain Twitter," but rather about helping users become better traders. In the past, if you wanted to know what others had bought, you had to ask; now you can simply click on someone's holdings to see their trading strategies and positions. In his view, fomo is essentially creating the new category of "social trading" from scratch. Looking ahead, fomo aims to expand beyond crypto trading into markets such as equities, becoming the "social graph" of the entire financial world.
