BlockBeats News, September 7 — TrendForce released its latest memory industry research, reporting that in Q2 2026, driven by a significant surge in conventional DRAM contract prices, overall DRAM industry revenue grew 59.5% quarter-over-quarter, reaching approximately $154.73 billion.
On the demand side, as LLM model training and AI inference continue to stimulate AI server demand, shipments of HBM3e, LPDDR5X, and high-capacity RDIMMs grew in tandem; Agentic AI applications further drove procurement demand for RDIMMs across various capacity specifications.
On the supply side, TrendForce noted that DRAM manufacturers' inventories remain at low levels, with new capacity prioritized for the server market, resulting in only modest growth in overall DRAM bit shipments in Q2, with supply expansion still lagging behind demand growth driven by AI and other applications.
