Analysis: Bitcoin May See 'Golden Cross' Soon as USDT Dominance Decreases Signaling Risk Appetite

BlockBeats News, September 3rd. Bitcoin is currently approaching the formation of a "Golden Cross" technical pattern, where the 50-day moving average is close to crossing above the 200-day moving average. This indicator is typically seen by the market as a signal of a long-term uptrend. Although historical performance does not always accurately predict the market, this Golden Cross may receive further support from the decreasing USDT dominance.

In Bitcoin's history, there have been a total of 12 Golden Cross occurrences, with some stages bringing significant bullish trends. Statistics show that out of the measurable 9 Golden Cross events, the average price increase over 3 months is around 24.9%. While cases that successfully maintained a year without a Death Cross are rare, the average price increase over three previous instances that lasted a year reached 250%.

At the same time, the USDT market dominance is approaching a "Death Cross," where the 50-day moving average is about to drop below the 200-day moving average. The market typically interprets a decrease in USDT dominance as a signal of risk appetite recovery, indicating that funds may be shifting from stablecoins to Bitcoin and other crypto assets. Currently, with the Bitcoin Golden Cross coinciding with the USDT dominance decline signal, it shows that the market momentum is strengthening, and the risk asset allocation sentiment may be improving in the near term.
