U.S. Stock Market Opens: Storage and Semiconductor Stocks Reverse Losses, Neocloud and Optics Stocks See Decreased Declines

BlockBeats News, September 2nd, according to BIT (bit.com) market data, the U.S. stock market opened with the Dow rising by 0.44%, the S&P 500 Index rising by 0.07%, and the Nasdaq falling by 0.08%. AI stocks significantly rebounded after the opening, with the storage and semiconductor sectors turning positive, while the Neocloud and optical communication sectors narrowed their losses.


The storage sector performed well. SanDisk (SNDK) rose by 1.12%, Micron Technology (MU) rose by 0.84%, Seagate Technology (STX) rose by 0.65%; Western Digital (WDC) fell by 0.06%, and SkyHigh (SKHY) fell by 0.10%.


Most semiconductor stocks turned positive. Qualcomm (QCOM) rose by 0.75%, NVIDIA (NVDA) rose by 0.67%, Intel (INTC) rose by 0.53%, ASML (ASML) rose by 0.36%, Arm (ARM) rose by 0.22%.


The Neocloud sector narrowed its losses. Cipher Digital (CIFR) fell by 2.46%, Galaxy Digital (GLXY) fell by 2.05%, TeraWulf (WULF) fell by 1.84%, CoreWeave (CRWV) fell by 1.58%, Applied Digital (APLD) fell by 1.52%.


Most optical communication concept stocks declined. Credo (CRDO) fell by 9.65%, Coherent (COHR) fell by 1.26%, Marvell Technology (MRVL) fell by 1.16%, Astera Labs (ALAB) fell by 1.05%, Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) fell by 0.81%; Lumentum (LITE) bucked the trend with a 0.22% increase.
