Bitcoin ‘Kimchi Premium’ Reappears, Marks Longest Streak Since Early May

BlockBeats News, September 1st. Recently, Bitcoin has once again shown a premium in the South Korean market. On Tuesday, the Bitcoin/Korean Won price on Upbit was about 1% higher than the price on Binance, and this situation has persisted for about a week, marking the longest duration since early May.

In the previous months, the price of Bitcoin in the Korean market was mostly lower than the overseas market, with a discount of up to 3.1% in early June. The overall average discount in August was about 0.25%. The reappearance of this premium indicates a resurgence in risk appetite among Korean investors.
