Tom Lee: Crypto Will Be the Most FOMO-Inducing Asset Before Year-End, Stocks Could See Strong Rebound If Fed Does Not Hike Rates in September

BlockBeats News, September 1st, Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee stated in an interview with CNBC yesterday that if the Fed keeps interest rates unchanged in September, the stock market may see a "very strong" rebound. Therefore, the Fed meeting on September 15th is a potential turning point.

Tom Lee believes that against the backdrop of inflation pressure and energy supply issues in 2026, the market has already priced in some rate hike expectations. The September seasonal weakness combined with concerns may instead trigger an upside surprise. Tom Lee is also optimistic about cryptocurrency, believing that Bitcoin's recent rally is the "first stage" of an uptrend. Institutional allocation will strengthen in the fourth quarter, and "the most FOMO-inducing asset in September and by the end of the year will be cryptocurrency, especially ETH."
