BlockBeats News, August 27th, Revolut phased out its first Euro stablecoin EURR on August 26th, initially opening it to some customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, with plans to expand to other areas of the European Economic Area later this year.
EURR is issued by Bridge Building S.A., a subsidiary of Stripe's Bridge, legally backed 1:1 by the Euro and redeemable at face value. Currently, there are 369 EURR in circulation, corresponding to a €369 reserve. With over 80 million retail customers, Revolut has provided a significant distribution channel for the Euro stablecoin.
