Justin Sun: Bitcoin Achieving Quantum Resistance Will Take a Long Time, TRON Plans to Upgrade to Quantum-Resistant Network by the End of This Year

BlockBeats News, August 27th, Justin Sun stated at the "Bitcoin Asia 2026" conference in Hong Kong that quantum threats to the blockchain and the entire financial system are widespread, with traditional banks such as JPMorgan also facing risks. However, due to the highly decentralized nature of the Bitcoin community involving miners, exchanges, Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), and other participants, achieving consensus will take a considerable amount of time.

Justin Sun also mentioned that TRON Foundation has been developing a quantum-resistant mechanism over the past year. In the first half of this year, they released a quantum-resistant address solution and launched it on the testnet. The plan is to upgrade the entire network to a quantum-resistant mainstream encrypted network by the end of the year.
