Qwen3.8-Flash Price Cut Just One Day After Launch: Priced $0.1 Lower than GLM, But Competitor Still Offering 50% Off

Dynamic Beating AI Newsflash: Just one day after the release of Qwen3.8-Flash, Alibaba Cloud has reduced prices. The price per million tokens has decreased from 1 yuan to 0.8 yuan for input and from 3 yuan to 2.7 yuan for output, representing a 20% and 10% reduction, respectively.

The new price has surpassed yesterday's GLM-5.3-Flash release. The API of the latter is priced at 0.8 yuan for input and 2.8 yuan for output. While Qwen has the same input price, its output is 0.1 yuan cheaper.

However, after the GLM-5.3-Flash went live, there was a 50% discount for the first two weeks, and the current actual price is only 0.4 yuan for input and 1.4 yuan for output. During the discount period, GLM remains almost half the price. Once the promotion ends, the prices of the two domestic Flash models will be essentially equal.
