The Trump Family-Linked Stablecoin USD1 Surpasses $4 Billion in Circulation, CEO Responds to "Conflict of Interest" Accusations

BlockBeats News, August 25th — Zach Witkoff, CEO of the crypto project World Liberty Financial (WLF) associated with the Trump family, stated on Tuesday that the circulating supply of the USD1 stablecoin has exceeded $4 billion, with a peak 24-hour trading volume of $1.7 billion. The actual demand for the stablecoin is sufficient to refute external doubts about its use to benefit Trump and his family.

Witkoff claimed that he has "never and will never" discuss company business with Trump, emphasizing that his main focus is to provide products and services to users. Founded in 2024 by Trump, his son, and associates, WLF currently operates USD1 and has received conditional approval for a U.S. national trust bank charter.

Meanwhile, WLF still faces controversy over conflicts of interest: an entity associated with the UAE reportedly acquired a 49% stake in WLF, and the Trump family received hundreds of millions of dollars in income from WLF token and related equity transactions in 2025. Witkoff stressed that stablecoins are becoming the "native cash layer" of the Internet, and USD1 will continue to expand its use in the future.
