XMR and ZEC can be directly exchanged for BTC, ETH, and stablecoins, while THORChain undergoes a major upgrade on 3.20

BlockBeats News, August 25th, THORChain announced the launch of version 3.20, adding native cross-chain exchange support for Monero (XMR) and Zcash (ZEC). Users can now directly exchange XMR and ZEC for BTC, ETH, and stablecoins without the need to wrap assets, register on centralized exchange accounts, or surrender asset custody.

This upgrade also introduces Protocol Owned Liquidity (POL) and Stable Reserve, and restores support for Solana, Base, and BNB.

Notably, the Stable Reserve supports zero liquidity fee swaps between stablecoins. This upgrade is expected to provide a new non-custodial trading path for users facing liquidity channel restrictions due to centralized exchanges delisting or limiting XMR.
