Bitcoin Weekly RSI Shows Bullish Divergence, Market Analysts Reassess Whether Bearish Trend Has Ended

BlockBeats News, August 25th. Last week, Bitcoin saw a strong rebound of about 25% and briefly surpassed $80,000. There is still a divergence in the market regarding the current trend. The technical indicators show that the weekly RSI of Bitcoin has risen to 58.3, the highest level since October 2025 when it hit a historical high of $126,200, displaying a bullish divergence similar to the 2022 bear market bottom phase: while the price had been continuously setting lower lows, the weekly RSI formed higher lows.

Jamie Coutts, Chief Crypto Analyst at Real Vision, believes that a bullish divergence at the weekly level has strong reference value for determining long-term trends and cycle turning points. Historically, similar signals have been followed by further price increases.

However, short-term indicators have shown signs of overheating, with Bitcoin's daily RSI rising to 82.93, the highest level since November 2024. Some traders are cautious about the risk of a short-term pullback, but some analysts also believe that in a historical bull market trend, it is not uncommon for the RSI to remain above 70 for an extended period in the overbought zone.

In addition, Bitcoin's two-month Stochastic RSI recently experienced the anticipated golden cross, which is usually seen as a potential bullish signal for a trend reversal. However, this time the indicator only touched a low of 4.81, not dropping close to zero as it did before the historical bear market bottom signals. Therefore, further observation is needed to determine whether this round of rebound signifies the official end of the macro bear market.
