Former Technical Co-Founder of MiniMax Raises $6 million to Build Voice Agent

The latest news from Momentum AI: Former CTO of MiniMax, Yang Bin, has founded a speech AI company called BreezeBlue. The company has completed a $6 million seed funding round, led by Element Capital and Redpoint China. The team currently consists of about 15 people and is focused on real-time speech interaction. Their latest model is Breeze TTS 2.

Prior to this, Yang Bin was in charge of MiniMax's image and video generation models. Now, he has shifted his entrepreneurial direction to sound. He believes that as AI Agents take on more complex tasks, it becomes difficult for humans to constantly monitor screens. Voice technology allows the Agent to proactively report and confirm issues while working, and humans can also intervene and correct at any time.
