DeepSeek API welcomes 'Weekend Special Deal', starting from August 23rd

Dynamic Beating AI News Flash: DeepSeek adjusts its API billing rules, eliminating the weekend peak-off-peak price difference starting from August 23. During weekdays, the peak/off-peak hourly billing will continue, while a unified off-peak pricing will apply all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Previously, DeepSeek had changed the V4-Flash and V4-Pro APIs to peak-off-peak billing, with the peak period price being up to 2 times higher than the off-peak price. With this adjustment, developers no longer need to avoid calling the models during weekends' peak hours.

DeepSeek stated that this adjustment aims to allow users to flexibly schedule their business activities while helping the platform balance its compute load. The new billing rules will take effect at 12:00 AM Beijing Time on August 23, and charges incurred before this date will be settled based on the old rules.
