BlockBeats News, August 21st. This morning, the inaugural meeting of the U.S. CFTC's Innovation Advisory Council was held. Tushar Jain, Co-Founder of Multicoin Capital, proposed three suggestions at the meeting.
First, to provide a safe harbor or innovation waiver mechanism for emerging markets such as mining derivatives, allowing developers to test new products and business models within a compliance framework.
Second, to support DeFi in adopting compliant privacy and confidentiality tools. This would safeguard institutional investors' trade privacy while providing regulators with sufficient transparency to identify and manage systemic risks.
Third, to support the launch of Pre-IPO perpetual futures, enabling ordinary American investors to participate in the wealth creation of emerging industries like AI. This would help prevent them from being excluded due to private market access restrictions or forced to participate indirectly through Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) with a lack of transparency.
Jain also mentioned that he had a discussion with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins on the same day, expressing optimism about regulatory agencies driving financial innovation and the future development of the United States.
