Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, is considering increasing its investment in Polymarket.

BlockBeats News, August 20: According to Bloomberg, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, has stated that it will consider participating in a new round of funding for the prediction market platform Polymarket.

ICE CEO Jeff Sprecher, in an interview with Bloomberg TV, mentioned that ICE would be open to supporting this round of funding if their participation could help complete it. He stated that ICE's investment endorsement could provide support for the funding. ICE's previous significant investment in Polymarket was seen as a key attempt by a traditional exchange platform to enter the new market infrastructure. If ICE continues to participate in this funding round, it may further strengthen the connection between the prediction market and the mainstream financial system.

As the prediction market grows in size, the industry is also facing regulatory scrutiny and challenges in market standardization. Polymarket has previously drawn regulatory attention, and market participants are exploring how to promote predictive trading within a compliant framework.
