NVIDIA's AI Moat Evolves: From Chip Dominance to "Capital Player"

BlockBeats News, August 18th, Nvidia is leveraging its strong cash flow and financing capabilities to extend its AI competition from the chip field to the capital market. Over the past week, Nvidia has first reached agreements with Wall Street institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, BlackRock, and Apollo to plan a GPU financing of up to $500 billion; it then announced its support for the OpenAI Ohio data center project with up to $105 billion.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated that the growth rate of many cutting-edge AI labs has exceeded their balance sheets and long-term credit capacity, requiring external capital to support AI infrastructure construction. Nvidia also plans to provide up to 25% bottom support for the relevant loans and will continue to lay out the AI industry chain through equity investments.

With Google TPU and AMD catching up in acceleration, Nvidia's chip technology advantage is facing challenges. Analysts believe that Nvidia is expanding its ecological control through the "chip + capital" model, further solidifying its market leadership while driving AI infrastructure investment.
