Voice AI company Wispr has completed a $280 million Series B financing round, valuing the company at $2 billion.

BlockBeats News, August 17th — Voice AI company Wispr announced the completion of a $280 million Series B funding round, with a post-money valuation of $2 billion. The round was led by Menlo Ventures, marking one of the largest investments by the firm in the AI company sector. Existing investors Notable Capital, NEA, Neo Ventures, 8VC, and MVP Ventures participated in the round, along with new investors such as Acrew, Forerunner, Goodwater, Peak XV, Together Fund, and PLUS Capital. This round, just 6 months after the oversubscribed Series A2 round, brings the total funding to $361 million. In addition to institutional investors, several athletes and cultural figures joined this round of investment, including Livvy Dunne, Shaun White, Dak Prescott, Joe Burrow, Klay Thompson, and Trae Young.

This funding round follows Wispr's flagship voice transcription product, Flow, experiencing rapid adoption. Flow has accumulated millions of users globally, serving over 125,000 businesses, with the majority of Fortune 500 companies having employees using it. Wispr stated that the company's revenue has grown over 150% each quarter in the past four quarters, with voice evolving from an occasional transcription tool to a conventional mode of interaction for content creation, idea exchange, and cross-software collaboration. Wispr is also in the process of launching its first proprietary voice model, further deepening its vertical integration from the interface application to the model layer.
