BlockBeats News, August 16th. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik published an article outlining the core goals of the current Ethereum scalability strategy. He first acknowledged the Bitcoin community's pioneering technical contributions and then made it clear that the proposed Ethereum scalability strategy is advancing in this direction. Vitalik emphasized: We want Ethereum to simultaneously have UTXO-style state, dynamic state, and all the advantages between the two. This means that Ethereum is trying to deeply integrate the advantages of the Bitcoin UTXO model in efficient state management, light client verification, and scalability with its flexible account model, smart contract ecosystem, and dynamic state capability.
Vitalik once again reiterated the ultimate goal of Ethereum scalability, to achieve "hyperscaled" activity on Ethereum for the vast majority of activities, without sacrificing decentralization, node operator convenience, and censorship resistance—these three core attributes. The Ethereum roadmap is shifting from a mere pursuit of scalability to a systematic effort to find a better balance point between scalability and decentralization resilience.
