xAI Co-Founder Wu Yuhuai to Purchase $70 million Mansion in California, USA

BlockBeats News, August 16th - According to the San Francisco Chronicle, a 12-acre estate in Hillsborough, California, was sold for $70 million, and the actual buyer may be 31-year-old co-founder of xAI, Wu Yuhuai. This transaction marks the highest residential real estate deal in Northern California so far this year.

Property records show that the buyer of the estate, located at 3000 Ralston Avenue and spanning around 12,000 square feet for the main residence, is registered under "Daikon no Hana Capital LLC." However, the broker handling the buyer's side of the deal, Jia Xu, had previously represented Wu Yuhuai in the purchase of a Los Altos Hills residence for $12 million last year. Additionally, the managing attorney of the LLC transferred Wu Yuhuai's original home to a family trust about a week before this transaction was completed. Wu Yuhuai is likely the actual buyer of this transaction.

Wu Yuhuai co-founded xAI with Musk and others in 2023 and was involved in the development of Grok. In February of this year, shortly after xAI was acquired by SpaceX for $250 billion in an all-stock deal, he announced his departure from xAI.

The sold estate includes a 6-bedroom main residence, a guest house of around 4,600 square feet, as well as facilities such as a tennis court, a nine-hole golf course, a 150-seat outdoor theater, a koi pond, and a 2,100-gallon saltwater aquarium. The property was initially listed for $88 million last fall, then reduced by $10 million, and ultimately sold for $70 million.
