Iranian Foreign Minister: No Decision Yet on Resuming Talks with the United States

BlockBeats News, August 15th, according to CCTV report, on August 14th local time, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi said in a media interview that currently the mediators Qatar and Pakistan are exchanging information and maintaining contact with Iran, but this does not mean that negotiations are taking place.


Iran has not yet decided whether to resume negotiations with the United States. Araghchi also stated that negotiations with Oman are ongoing regarding the delineation of the Hormuz Strait route for the passage of ships, and the issue of the opening of the Hormuz Strait is a completely separate issue.


Araghchi also emphasized that Iran will only resume passage through the Hormuz Strait if the United States adheres to certain conditions.
