BlockBeats News, August 15th, according to Bloomberg, Anthropic's preliminary revenue in the second quarter exceeded $11.5 billion, a growth of at least 14 times from the $787 million in the same period last year, and also higher than the first quarter of this year's $47.3 billion. The company achieved a positive adjusted operating profit for the quarter.
Anthropic was once lagging behind in the AI competition, but thanks to an increasing number of professionals using its software to streamline programming and other workflows, the company's business has accelerated significantly. In May of this year, Anthropic's annualized revenue had exceeded $47 billion.
For comparison, OpenAI previously disclosed annualized revenue of over $40 billion, but the calculation methods of the two may not be entirely consistent. With the AI race heating up, IPO funding in the AI sector has reached $2.564 trillion so far this year, hitting a new high since 2021 (excluding financial tools such as SPACs).
