Benefiting from optimistic long-term prospects for NAND Flash, Asian Memory Chip Manufacturers' Stock Prices Rise

BlockBeats News, August 14th, SanDisk (SNDK.O)'s optimistic outlook has boosted confidence in the long-term profitability brought by AI prosperity, leading Asian storage chip stocks to rise.

Samsung's partner Kioxia Holdings' stock surged 8.7% in Tokyo, while memory chip maker SK Hynix's stock rose 6.5% in Seoul. The Bloomberg Asia Semiconductor Index rose 1.6% at one point, poised for a fifth consecutive day of gains.

SanDisk previously stated that revenue is expected to grow by 15% to 20% between 2028 and 2030, driven by long-term pricing agreements with customers. Andrew Jackson, Director of Japan Stock Strategy at Ortus Advisors, wrote, "It's unheard of for NAND flash memory manufacturers to provide such accurate long-term forecasts. Long-term agreements may help dampen the classic boom/bust cycle compared to the more volatile spot memory prices."
