The SEC is planning to announce a major cryptocurrency initiative involving the customized issuance of crypto investment contracts and the tokenization of securities.

BlockBeats News, August 12, as the "Cryptocurrency Market Structure Bill" (known as the CLARITY Act) remains stalled in the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is preparing to launch two significant initiatives in the coming days, which may further boost the U.S. cryptocurrency industry.

The SEC has announced that it will hold a public meeting on Friday to "create a customized issuance mechanism for certain investment contracts involving crypto assets." Additionally, the SEC plans to soon unveil an "Innovation Exemption" initiative, allowing for the tokenization of trading securities. This move could reshape the U.S. stock market landscape and pave the way for 24/7 trading of stock tokens on the blockchain.
