Anthropic is reportedly planning to go public in September or early October and is holding pre-IPO meetings with potential investors.

BlockBeats News, August 11th, according to The Wall Street Journal report, Anthropic is currently meeting with potential investors to boost market confidence for its upcoming IPO, set to be the earliest in September or early October this year. Sources familiar with the matter stated that the company is valued at around $965 billion. Investors in recent pre-IPO meetings have been particularly interested in Anthropic's competition in China's low-cost AI models, its strained relationship with the Trump administration, and the potential impact of opposition to the construction of data centers in the U.S. on the company's growth.

Anthropic executives downplayed the competitive pressure from Chinese low-cost AI systems during the meetings, emphasizing that the company will continue to focus on providing cutting-edge AI models. CEO Dario Amodei and other U.S. AI industry executives previously believed that most users still prefer to use the most advanced AI systems currently available, with Chinese models usually lagging behind top models in capabilities by at least a few months.

The company also informed some investors of its plans to further expand AI applications in the healthcare and biological fields, believing that such initiatives will help alleviate some of the negative sentiments towards AI. As of now, Anthropic has not disclosed specific details regarding the IPO pricing and the exact listing date.

Anthropic has seen rapid growth this year with its Claude Code and stated in May that its annualized revenue has exceeded $47 billion. In recent weeks, the company has also signed multiple new computing power agreements with SpaceX, Google, and others, with strong demand for products like Claude Code, although there have been intermittent service interruptions earlier this year.
