Robinhood is launching cryptocurrency trading for UK investors

BlockBeats News, August 10th, according to an official announcement, Robinhood has begun to roll out cryptocurrency trading services to eligible customers in the UK. Users can directly buy and sell over 50 digital assets within its flagship investment app through the veteran exchange platform Bitstamp, which it acquired for $200 million last year.

The expansion, which started this week, adds cryptocurrency to its existing stock and stock ISA, stock, options, and futures products, all integrated within a single app.

Robinhood has stated that the service will launch with no trading commission fees, account maintenance fees, or custody fees. However, UK customers will be subject to a 0.1% foreign exchange fee, which increases to 0.3% for some weekend exchanges.
