Grayscale: Likelihood of CLARITY Act Passing Within the Year Is Low

BlockBeats News, August 9, Grayscale's Head of Research Zach Pandl stated in a post that due to the Senate schedule and election-year politics, the likelihood of the CLARITY Act being passed this year is now low.

Pandl believes that the failure of the bill to pass will not immediately impact the development of Bitcoin, major blockchains, and stablecoin payments. Regulatory bodies such as the SEC are still expected to fill the regulatory gaps through subsequent rules, especially in the tokenized securities space. However, the lack of a comprehensive market structure regulatory framework may lead to more new investment and development activities shifting overseas.
