According to Perceptron Beating monitoring, OpenCode co-founder Dax Raad shared the client-side cache hit rate of DeepSeek traffic in the past 48 hours. Surprisingly, the top performer was not OpenCode itself, but rather ZCode from MindSync, with an impressive hit rate of 98.60%. OpenCode V2 achieved 97.86%, while Claude Code / CLI lagged behind at only 89.31%.
Dax himself was taken aback, stating, "I have no idea what ZCode is, but they are doing really well." The cache misses for DeepSeek are approximately 50 times more expensive than hits. Using the same token structure as a rough estimate, the input cost for achieving ZCode's hit rate is only about 27% of Claude Code's.
ZCode is MindSync's Agentic Development Environment (ADE) tailored for GLM-5.2, but it also supports integration with other models.
