According to NetFlex Beating monitoring, whistleblower Dan claimed that Google may release Gemini 3.5 Pro on August 10. Dan initially teased August 12, then changed the date to August 10 a few hours later.
In May, Google had said the Pro version would be launched in June, but it was eventually delayed. On July 21, Google only stated that the model is being tested with partners and will be made available as soon as it's ready. The delay is related to the programming capability not meeting internal targets.
Dan also speculated that the new model will be very powerful overall, but not necessarily significantly better than Anthropic and OpenAI's top models.
