Analysis: BTC Hits Extreme On-Chain Metrics at $63,000, Market Poised for Major Move

BlockBeats News, August 2nd. On-chain analyst Murphy pointed out that Bitcoin has accumulated as much as 890,000 BTC at a single price of $63,000, exhibiting extreme distribution. Excluding the 550,000 BTC locked in Coinbase in the $83,000 to $84,000 range, the accumulation at this price level may have exceeded 1 million BTC, accounting for about 5% of the total circulation, historically triggering significant volatility once surpassing this scale. Currently, the combined total at only the $62,000 and $63,000 price levels has already accounted for approximately 8% of the circulation, and the chip concentration within a 5% range of the spot price has simultaneously risen to 13%. Although it has not yet reached the 15% historical high probability trigger line, it has exceeded the level that caused intense volatility in May, officially entering the caution zone.

The analyst emphasized that excessively high chip concentration implies a sharp increase in price sensitivity. When overly dense chips are concentrated in a narrow price range, even a slight price change may intensify the turnover of sensitive chips, triggering violent reallocations either upwards or downwards. The massive amount of short-term chips stacked near $63,000 is currently forming a potential volatility fuse, and any external event could become a trigger point. The market may have entered a tense state where a significant directional shift could occur at any time.
