ByteDance's app ecosystem has surpassed Tencent's in terms of user engagement, reaching a market share of 40.1%.

According to Aurora Mobile's monitoring, Nomura Securities cited QuestMobile data in the "China Internet and New Media: App Tracking in June 2026" report, showing that among the Top 50 Apps covering about 93% of mobile internet usage time, ByteDance's user time share reached 40.1%, surpassing 40% for the first time, while Tencent's share dropped to 29.7%.
