OpenAI's annualized revenue has reached $42.6 billion, representing a growth of approximately 29% in the past two months.

According to Dynamic Beating monitoring, OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar reportedly stated during an internal meeting that the company's July revenue continued to grow, primarily driven by GPT-5.6, Enterprise Agent ChatGPT Work, and Codex. OpenAI did not disclose a specific amount.

A third-party firm, TickerTrends, estimated that OpenAI's monthly recurring revenue at the end of July was approximately $3.55 billion, up by about $800 million from the end of May. Its ARR increased from $33 billion at the end of May to $42.6 billion on July 29, representing a growth of around 29% over two months.

OpenAI Chairman Bret Taylor also acknowledged that the company had fallen behind Anthropic in the AI programming market earlier this year. He mentioned that some heavy users of Claude Code had started looking for alternatives like Codex due to high billing.
