Organization: Federal Reserve Faces Increasing Rate Hike Pressure, with Inflation Level Still Well Above Target

BlockBeats News, July 28th - Anthony Willis, Senior Economist at Tianli Investment, stated in a report that due to the US inflation level remaining significantly above target and the economy and labor market still showing resilience, the pressure on Fed policymakers to tighten policy has increased.

Willis stated: "However, policymakers may be willing to temporarily overlook the impact of the recent surge in oil prices until the impact of inflation becomes more clear." Nevertheless, the broader trend is clear: under Powell's leadership, the Fed is taking a more hawkish stance. The market currently prices in a 38% probability of a Fed rate hike on Wednesday and has fully priced in the possibility of a September rate hike. (FXStreet)
