SoftBank's $40 Billion OpenAI Investment Loan Adds 21 New Lenders

BlockBeats News, July 27th - According to Bloomberg, SoftBank Group's $40 billion bridge loan raised for its investment in OpenAI has attracted 21 new loan institutions in a broader syndicated financing stage.

Sources indicated that these new lenders collectively received about $7 billion of the loan amount. Among them, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Singapore's GIC, and Standard Chartered Bank each subscribed to nearly $1 billion. The remaining funds were allocated to some banks in Europe, Japan, and Taiwan.

Sources stated that the remaining $33 billion of the bridge loan is currently held by underwriters and senior lenders, but may undergo further syndication in the future.
