SK Group Chairman: South Korea Needs to Transform into an "AI-Native" Country

BlockBeats News, July 26th, SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won stated that South Korea must become an "AI-first country," adding: "The goal is to ensure that everyone has at least one AI avatar." He said: "If this goal is achieved, South Korea will become a global AI testbed, allowing various AI technologies to be experimented and applied here." Choi Tae-won mentioned that SK Group will provide more opportunities for AI development through continuous R&D investment. Choi Tae-won also emphasized the importance of reducing AI costs.

He said: "Currently, the cost of AI is too high. We must find ways to reduce costs so that more people around the world can benefit from the advantages of AI." Choi Tae-won stated that South Korea can lower AI costs by expanding semiconductor production scale and building more AI data centers, thus creating a global AI data center hub connecting the United States, Europe, and Asia.
