BlockBeats News, July 26: According to an official announcement, the cryptocurrency exchange BitMart has announced that, after evaluating its operational status, market environment, and future strategic direction, the platform has decided to orderly cease its trading services. Starting from 01:30 (UTC) on July 26, BitMart will gradually stop new user registrations, cryptocurrency and fiat deposits, contract accounts will enter into a liquidation-only mode, spot trading will cease to accept new orders, and automated services such as copy trading, grid trading, and API trading will also be gradually disabled.
Starting from 01:00 (UTC) on August 26, BitMart will halt all spot, contract, and other trading services. Contract positions that remain open at that time may be settled according to the mark price, index price, or applicable settlement rules. Products such as wealth management, staking, borrowing, and the Launchpad will be terminated in stages, and specific redemption and settlement arrangements will be notified separately.
The platform plans to officially cease its trading platform operations by 15:59 (UTC) on January 31, 2027. After the shutdown, users will still be able to log in to their accounts, view their historical records, and submit withdrawal requests within a specified period. BitMart advises users to complete identity verification and close all positions before 01:00 on August 26, and to submit withdrawal requests before 05:00 on the same day.
Withdrawal services are currently still available, but some requests may undergo manual review due to requirements such as KYC, device and account security, the source of funds, withdrawal addresses, the Travel Rule, and sanctions screening. BitMart reminds users to download and save account balances, deposit and withdrawal records, and transaction records in advance, and to beware of scams where individuals impersonate platform staff to request "expedite fees," "unfreeze fees," or ask for passwords, verification codes, private keys, and mnemonic phrases.
