BlockBeats News, July 24, SBI Holdings' 90%-owned crypto market maker B2C2 has been in acquisition talks with multiple potential buyers over the past 18 months.
The negotiations have been impacted by valuation disagreements. B2C2 is seeking a deal price of over $1 billion, a source familiar with the matter said, which is challenging to achieve in the current crypto market environment.
Founded in 2015, B2C2 provides deep liquidity for spot, derivatives, structured products, and OTC trading to institutions such as banks, exchanges, brokers, hedge funds, and asset management firms. SBI acquired 90% of B2C2 in 2020. B2C2's financial data is not separately disclosed and is included in SBI's crypto business segment. (CoinDesk)
