Tencent Hy4 official version released, its overall performance has ranked among the strongest open-source models.

Beating AI News Flash: Tencent Hunyuan releases the official version of Hy4. Compared with the August Preview, it further expands the scale of pre-training and post-training, enhances capabilities in coding, long-horizon Agents, financial analysis, and more, and for the first time adds visual understanding and computer operation. Multiple evaluations published by Tencent show that its overall performance has entered the first tier of open-source models.

Hy4 can now operate computers by combining screen images, mouse and keyboard, and command-line operations to complete cross-software tasks. To this end, Tencent built a sandbox deployed with hundreds of software applications, allowing the model to practice repeatedly and verify results. In game development, the GameDev and GameLogic evaluations improved by 19.1% and 9.8% respectively compared with the Preview.

There is also new progress in scientific research tasks. Tencent said that without human intervention, Hy4 completed the 3D reconstruction of a mouse embryo with nearly 7 million cells in 1.5 hours; it can also autonomously locate performance bottlenecks in the model training system and increase training throughput in internal tests by 20.1%.

The official version maintains the API pricing of the Preview. Tencent Cloud standard API calls are available at a limited-time 50% discount before December 31, and Token Plan subscriptions enjoy a 75% discount on credit consumption before November 18. The model has been launched on platforms including Tencent Cloud and OpenRouter, and the weights are planned to be open-sourced soon.
