MaxLinear stock price plunges over 11% after hours, Q2 total revenue up 55% year-over-year

BlockBeats News, July 24th, Optical communication chip supplier MaxLinear released its Q2 2026 financial report, with total revenue of $169 million, a year-over-year increase of 55%. Diluted earnings per share were $0.02 (compared to -$0.52 in the previous quarter), a year-over-year increase of 106%. Net profit was $0.02 billion, a year-over-year increase of 107%. Non-GAAP net income was $0.34 billion, a year-over-year increase of 1854%, and Non-GAAP earnings per share were $0.35 (compared to $0.22 in the previous quarter).


MaxLinear expects revenue for the next quarter to be between $210 million and $220 million. GAAP gross margin is expected to be 57.0% to 60.0%, while non-GAAP gross margin is expected to be 58.5% to 61.5%. The company expects non-GAAP operating expenses to be in the range of $66 million to $71 million and anticipates fully diluted shares outstanding to be 99 million shares.
