Bithumb Bitcoin Accidental Transfer Repayment Case to Have First Ruling on August 27

BlockBeats News, July 23rd. According to Digital Asset, a South Korean court will deliver the first-instance judgment on the Bithumb accidental Bitcoin send-out incident on August 27th. The involved users are accused of selling mistakenly received BTC and holding approximately 194 million Korean won in cash.

Prior to this, Bithumb had filed improper enrichment return lawsuits against four users, with the highest amount being around 500 million Korean won. In February of this year, Bithumb mistakenly recorded Korean won points as Bitcoin in an event reward distribution, subsequently initiating a recovery process. As of March 10th, they claimed to have recovered 99% of the unrecovered 1788 BTC.
