U.S. Judge Sets Maduro Drug Case Trial for June 2027

BlockBeats News, July 23rd, a U.S. judge has set the trial date for Venezuela's President Maduro, who is under U.S. control, to begin on June 1, 2027. The U.S. launched a military strike against Venezuela on January 3rd, forcibly took control of Maduro and his wife, and brought them to the U.S., where the U.S. Department of Justice charged them with drug trafficking. On January 5th, the Maduro couple appeared in court for the first time at the Southern District of New York Federal Court, where they denied the U.S. allegations of "crimes."

Currently, Maduro is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. The international community has widely condemned the U.S. for severely violating Venezuela's sovereignty and threatening the peace and stability of the Latin American region. (CCTV News)
