Peter Brandt: Bitcoin Bear Market Could Bottom on October 4th, Outperforming AI Stocks in the Next Two to Three Years

BlockBeats News, July 20th - Renowned trader and chart analyst Peter Brandt stated that he expects the current Bitcoin market cycle to bottom out on October 4, 2026, and believes that investing in Bitcoin for the next two to three years may outperform investing in AI stocks.

During an interview, Brandt mentioned that although accurately predicting the market bottom date is extremely challenging, he has held onto this long-term projection. He believes that the Bitcoin price could still experience further downside, possibly dropping below $50,000 and entering the mid-$40,000 range.

Brandt pointed out that historically, Bitcoin has seen retracements of over 80% during major bear markets. Calculating from this cycle's high point of around $120,000, in an extreme scenario, Bitcoin could retrace to $50,000 or even lower.

Regarding the current market sentiment that Bitcoin may have bottomed around $60,000, Brandt disagrees. He stated that market bottoms usually do not occur in a neutral emotional phase but rather form during investor panic, amplified trading volume, and crumbling confidence.

In terms of investment choices, Brandt believes that AI stocks are currently at high risk valuation and may struggle to satisfy investors in the next two to three years. If one has $10,000 to invest, he would lean towards allocating 50% to Bitcoin and 50% to precious metals.

Brandt predicts that the next Bitcoin cycle peak will occur in 2029, with a target price range of $250,000 to $300,000. He has previously stated that Bitcoin could potentially reach $1 million eventually, but the timeframe may need to extend until around 2030.
